The Wiesmanns MF5 Roadster-bomb

Either you like it or not, it is impossible to neglect the retro beauty of Wiesmann. This is the MF5 Roadster, expected to be launched at the IAA/Frankfurt next week. But now its out, leaked by Wiesmann by purpose. Under the bonnet you will find the V10 from BMW with over 500 HP, probably the choice between manual/sequential transmission and the droptop designed close to the regular coupéroof. 0-100 km/h is sub 4 seconds and top speed around 300 km/h. More pics + details next week.

World record? Brabus E V12 "one of ten"

Once again Brabus wan´t to be holder of the "Worlds fastest limousine".

It seems like one more leakage is coming up, this time the Brabus E V12 "one of ten". Finalgear.com tells that it is capable of more than 370 km/h, 0-100 = 3,7 sec, 0-200 = 9,9 sec and 0-300 = 23,9 sec. In order to generate this speed, the V12 produces 800 HP, 1.420 Nm torque - reduced to 1.100 Nm due to stress reduction of the drivetrain. The highly purpose-filled looks with shields covering the wheels is part of the aerodynamic game. Finalgear.com belives that 10 cars will be made, with 3 already sold to the middle east. Price in the range of 500.000 euros.

Second leak of the day, Lambo Reventón Roadster

I don´t know how all these pictures of upcoming new cars get out of hands. Before this thing called Internet came around, secrets were kept until the exibits where officially opened. Anyway, this is the ultra-rare Lamborghini Reventón Roadster, based on the coupé presented two years ago. Worldcarfans.com that got the pictures, are certain about a production number of 20 cars. Powered by the V12 producing 650 HP, enough to speed to 100 km/t in 3,4 sec not stopping until 340 km/h. Luckily the e-gear will help to keep concentration, giving some attention to the road and help avoiding staring people.

Screensaver of the week

Porsche Motorsport for GT3 and RS

Porsche released this today.

Lightweight Components for Individual Retrofitting on the 911 GT3 and GT3 RS

Stuttgart. Starting in September, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is offering a new product line for retrofitting motorsport accessories on all Type 997 models of the GT3 and GT3 RS. Using these special components, the enthusiast is able to further customise the exterior of his car with weight-optimised materials such as titanium and carbon also used in motorsport.

These optional accessories have been developed by engineers in Porsche’s Motorsport Division in Weissach and naturally tested on the race track. Apart from an unusually sporting look, the new motorsport accessories from Porsche Tequipment offer an even higher standard of driving dynamics.

The new double tailpipe made of titanium, for example, reduces the weight of the car at the rear, the white-metallic patina of the tailpipe turning blue when exposed to high exhaust temperatures, like on many racing cars.

The spoiler lip at the rear (Gurney flap) and the ram air scoop on the rear lid provide a further reduction of weight and add a striking look to the car. Both are made of super-light but extra-stable carbon.

The front air outlet above the bumper and the rear-view mirrors are also available in carbon which, being a very stiff material, enabled Porsche’s engineers to choose an even more open structure on the air outlet, this special motorsport component now coming with just one middle bar instead of the usual three reinforcement bars. Yet a further point is that the carbon elements add additional optical highlights particularly on cars finished in a light exterior colour.

The titanium-coloured second-generation 19-inch GT3 wheels complete with central locking are likewise a new feature in the range. The wheel bolts are made of forged aluminium and finished in red eloxy-plating. To customise the first generation of the 911 GT3 and GT3 RS (Type 997), there is also special a model designation in various colours extending round the wheel. The special trim film used for this purpose is made of the same highly resistant material as the starter numbers on racing cars for lasting quality.

All motorsport accessories are available starting immediately in all Porsche Centers worldwide except China.

Leakage of the day

Here it is, the new Audi R8 Spyder. Pictures leaked out by Carscoop last night, and there is no official word about it yet. The V10-sign on the fenders points out 525 HP... Can´t wait.

Wild thing

Fiat and Ferrari has joined forces to create the wildest version of the Friat 500 so far. The 695 Tributo Ferrari is painted in Scuderia Red with grey stripes as the outgoing F430 Scuderia. This wild thing will be lots of "show and go", since the creativity also includes the 1.4 liter turboengine. With 180 HP on tap, this should be the obvious rental car in Italy.

CAR Magazine has obviously got some good connections with the manufacturer, since they got these pictures and facts. Here is what they can tell: The price will be above the other exotics in its class, CAR state around 160.000 pounds. The car is built around a revolutionary safetycell called MonoCell. It is said that the supercar of carbon should be lighter than 1.300 kg. The 3,8-liter turbocharged V8 will produce 600 HP, and is produced inhouse. 80 percent of the torque will be available below 2.000 rpm, therefrore its gonna be quick. In conjunction with an SSG-transmission, Seamless Shift Gearbox which means a special preload of the next ratio trigged by a half-squeeze on the paddle (like focusing on a camera), it will be explosive.

MB SLS leakage

Through carpoint.com.au these pictures of the next super-MB has arrived. Powered by the 6,3-liter norm-aspirated V8 with an output of 563 HP, it will be able to handle 0-100 km/h well under 4 seconds. Inspirated by the all-time high classic 300 SL Gullwing, it should be worth waiting for. In my eyes the design is something by it self...
