Auto, Motor und Sport has been looking into the future of the next über-5-series, the M5. They reason the car most likely will be equipped with the 4,4 liter twinturbo from 750i, X5 and X6 M. AMS belives that even the M5 cant go clear of the consumption- and environmental issue, therefore. BMW can easily get more power out of the plant which givs 555 HP and 680 Nm today. I dont think we will see 600 HP, but in order to beat Audis RS6, 580-590 might be absolutely possible.
